PCL & PCLF Announce Sold Out Symposium (01-28-10)
The annual environmental legislative symposium has over 330 participants coming to Saturday’s event, which is focused on climate change, land use, water, and coastal issues.
San Clemente Dam to Come Down (11-14-09)
Monterey Herald – The remaining roadblocks to the removal of the San Clemente Dam are out of the way. Cal Am, the owner of the dam, announced it will help the State Coastal Conservancy remove the 106 foot structure. PCL’s Jonas Minton commented that this will lead to the restoration of an incredible ecosystem restoration in the Monterey area.
Annual Award Winners Announced (10-12-09)
PCL and the PCL Foundation announced the environmental heroes of 2009 including Assemblymember Pedro Nava, Bill Yeates, Mother Lode Chapter of the Sierra Club, Debbie Davis, Martha Davis and Small Business California. Awards will be presented during the 2010 Symposium’s luncheon.
COMMUNITY COMMENTARY: Residents, Leaders Support Golf Course (05-06-09)
Glendale News Press – Local residents and community groups are working to preserve the Verdugo Hills Golf Course from development. While working on solutions to preserve the land, three community groups have partnered with the PCL Foundation to offer a CEQA training for the public in June.

The Planning and Conservation League Foundation’s long-awaited Sierra Nevada Grassroots Directory has arrived. Community groups, agencies and residents alike will benefit from this detailed directory of environmental grassroots organizations active in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
